My StoryFor more about Joan Small click here.I grew up in a small mining community in Western Australia, then moved to Perth, and from there to 'Australia's Last Goldrush Town' of Tennant Creek in outback Australia. My country life alternated with life in several Australian cities, and my varied experiences gave me many challenges, as well as opportunities to interact with people from all walks of life My poetry and books reflect my life adventuresIn my poetry I share the highs and lows and my personal battle with the programming I had received from my upbringing; all the factors that limited me in achieving the life of my dreams. I also share much of what I learned from Master teachers, leaders and trainers. I have discovered that even people in high places suffer from the same fear, uncertainty and doubt that I have been through. In my books and poetry I share with you how I overcame these limitations and was able to design the life of my dreams. In
2003 I sat down to write a book. This project took on a life of its
own. One book became four in the self-help series entitled:
'Allow Yourself...You Deserve It - How To Free Yourself From Stress and Control and Live with Fun and Love'.My poetry, and cartoons by Robin Small,
will not only inspire you but also entertain you as you are taken
on a journey to discover the real you, and obtain the life you desire.
Now living on Queensland's Gold Coast, My life is a dream come true. I am passing on what I have learned through my books, poetry, speeches and workshops because I believe YOU DESERVE IT. |
